Job Title: Health and Safety Manager Salary: £40,000 per annum Location: Coventry Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Hours: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday About the Role: A leading UK manufacturer in the home-building sector is looking for an experienced and driven Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety practices across multiple advanced production sites. With three manufacturing facilities and a strong focus on sustainability, precision, and quality, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking business. This role would suit a Health & Safety Advisor looking to take the next step into management, with the support and scope to grow and shape the function. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures. - Carry out comprehensive risk assessments across all manufacturing and production areas. - Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing detailed reports with corrective actions. - Conduct audits, inspections, and workplace assessments to ensure compliance. - Advise managers and team leaders on best practices and legal requirements. - Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to employees. - Maintain accurate records and documentation for reporting and external audits. Requirements: - NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential. - Experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing, construction, or engineering. - A solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation. - Confident communication skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset. - Eagerness to take ownership and develop leadership experience in a management role.
