Manpower are recruiting HGV Cat C+E Class 1 Drivers for our client based in Northwich.
Salary - £38,670.53 per annum plus a Class 1 supplement of £1,439.88
- Paid monthly
Working Hours & Shift Pattern - Start times between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM
- Typical shifts are around 10 hours
- Average of 5 days per week, with up to 6 days out of 7 when required
- Working pattern covers Sunday to Saturday
- Average of 48 hours per week over a rolling 26-week reference period
- Maximum of 60 hours in a single week where required
- Fixed rota pattern with schedules published weekly, providing approximately one week's notice
- No overtime available
Routes & Deliveries - Long-distance routes covering areas from Glasgow to Essex
- Class 1 customer delivery work with multi-drop deliveries
- Following planned routes and schedules to provide consistent customer service
- Managing shop fixtures and deliveries in line with customer requirements
Key Responsibilities - Deliver excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for the business
- Complete all paperwork and electronic documentation accurately
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and personal presentation standards
- Ensure compliance with all transport legislation, including:
- Tachograph regulations
- Working Time Directive (WTD)
- Driver CPC requirements
- Vehicle defect reporting
- Load security and weight checks
- Support regular and relief delivery routes as required
- Drive safely and professionally, adhering to the Highway Code and speed limits
- Champion Health & Safety standards at all times
Requirements - Valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence
- Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience within the last 3 years
- Current Driver CPC card
- Strong understanding of tachograph legislation
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
- Good attention to detail
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- Strong team player
