| Getting people paid correctly and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes makes a real difference to any business. As an HR and Payroll Administrator, you'll take ownership of weekly and monthly pay runs, support employees across office and site-based teams, and help improve the systems that keep everything organised. You'll be working closely with the Head of Finance and operational managers in an established Kettering business. With a new pay system being introduced and opportunities to improve existing processes, you'll have the chance to put your experience to good use and make a genuine impact. What's in it for you - Salary of £21,000–£24,000 pa depending on experience. (Full time equivalent £32,000-£36,000) - Permanent, part-time position working 25 hours per week. - Flexible working arrangements to help balance your commitments. - Opportunity to be involved in implementing a new pay system. - Scope to improve existing processes and make a real difference to how the business operates. - Ongoing development and support from an established team.  Your responsibilities as HR and Payroll Administrator - Process weekly and monthly pay runs, ensuring hours, overtime, deductions and employee changes are accurate. - Coordinate employee administration, including new starters, onboarding, contractual changes and leavers. - Maintain accurate holiday, absence and employee records, including probation reviews and training renewals. - Respond to employee queries and provide administrative support with employee relations matters. - Support the introduction of a new pay system and improvements to the existing People First platform. - Prepare reports, maintain accurate data and identify opportunities to streamline processes.  What we're looking for in a HR and Payroll Administrator - Proven experience managing end-to-end pay runs, ideally including weekly payments and variable hours. - Practical experience supporting operational people processes within a business. - Previous experience working in a construction or manufacturing environment. - Strong Excel skills and experience using business systems to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines. - Experience with People First, system implementation projects or a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.  This is an on-site position based in Kettering, with occasional travel to other sites.  Working hours: 25 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available.  If you're experienced in managing payroll, understand the importance of accurate employee records and want a human resources role where you can improve how things are done, we'd love to hear from you.
