Job Description

HSE Recruitment are proud to be working with an engineering and environmental consultancy, looking for a HSEQ Advisor to oversee all aspects of a multi-disciplinary fieldwork safety.

This will be a hybrid role, you will be based at the Manchester office a few days a week and the other days will be home based. Travel will be required alongside this, traveling to other UK offices (Glasgow, London and Bristol) or out supporting the field service teams on site, approx once a month.

This will be a really varied role in response to the variety of work you will be supporting. You will report into the Head of HSE and be part of a team of three other advisors.

Responsibilities include:

- Your role will be to provide HSEQ expertise within the field team out on projects every day. The role covers projects happening all over the UK.
- The role will have responsibilities for the management of the field teams risk assessment processes, method statements and guidance, requiring a familiarisation with the activities they undertake in the field and appraisal of the issues and risks faced.
- The job will be varied but a key aspect is the auditing. You will manage the auditing of the field teams against company procedures, identifying areas for improvement and training requirements. They have an IMS and as part of that there are an amount of internal audits that must take place so it is your responsibility to ensure these happen.
- Outside of planning the audits, the day to day can be really varied, you could be investigating accidents, right through to answering queries and questions that come in from the team.

The person:

- Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate with a few years’ experience as an advisor.
- Any lead auditor qualification would be a bonus but auditing experience is essential.
- Experience dealing with field service teams and remote workers.
- Someone who is confident to get on with the job, is organised and thorough, who can manage and prioritise workload but be adaptable to meet tight project deadlines and work under pressure.
- Someone with a can-do attitude, good collaborator and communication skills.
- Able to build relationships, effectively manage stakeholders, including keeping others up to date with progress.

The salary in offer is £40-45,000 depending on experience, plus package.
