Job Description |
My client is an HVAC specialist Company who have been operating since 2013. Based in Buckinghamshire, they specialise in National Retail & Public Sector Projects ranging between £10k - £1.5mil. Due to an influx in work, they are seeking an HVAC Estimator to join the team. THE ROLE – HVAC/MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm You will be office based 5 days a week in the beginning, then once you have found your feet, the option of Hybrid working would be available. Working on projects within the Retail & Public Sector – up to a value of £1.5mil. Projects will be anything AC, Vent, Plumbing, LHTW related. Overview: To review tenders & design information, obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, produce tender in line with company’s pricing policy and return tenders on time. Key Duties & Responsibilities: - First Contact with Customer from initial enquiry - Site survey if required - Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project. - Review specifications and schedules of works - Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors - Prepare quotations and record on Contract Book (followed up by outcome) - Obtain a Purchase Order - Check Order for correct and still valid prices - Credit Check any new customers - In conjunction with Contract Manager, develop design to construction phase  Requirements – Essential - Able to build relationships with main contractors, clients and other parties. - Full understanding of HVAC systems. - Understanding of project management principles. - Familiar with construction methodologies and procedures. - Willing to travel to customer sites, which may include staying away overnight. - Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards. - Ability to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve best results.  Requirements - Desirable - Good knowledge of MS Office and Excel - Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. - Team player with leadership abilities. - Able to work within a team or by oneself. - Excellent people skills - Presentable, hardworking, proactive, organised an dependable - Attention to detail - Pride in their work. - Understanding of Plumbing Services  SALARY & PACKAGE £40k-50k depending on experience 25 days holiday Company bonus scheme Mobile phone  PLEASE CONTACT SEAN HITCHMAN ON 020 7932 2800 / SHITCHMAN@RGB.CO.UK |
