| Role: Information Governance Officer Contract: London Borough of Harrow Location: Hybrid working, 2 days onsite, London Borough of Harrow, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT Payrate £21.23 PAYE / £27.70 Umbrella per hour The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced Information Governance Officer to support its data protection and compliance functions. This is a part time, onsite position ideal for someone who is confident working independently and providing expert guidance on information governance matters. Key Responsibilities: - Support the council's compliance with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and FOI/EIR legislation - Manage and respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests - Provide advice and guidance to internal teams on data handling, retention, and information security - Assist with data breaches, risk assessments, and DPIAs - Maintain accurate records and contribute to policy development and best practice Requirements: - Previous experience in an Information Governance, Data Protection, or similar compliance role - Strong understanding of GDPR and UK data protection legislation - Excellent communication and organisational skills - Ability to work onsite in Harrow 2 days per week Pay: - £21.23 per hour (PAYE) - £27.70 per hour (Umbrella) If you're an information governance professional looking for a flexible, part time opportunity within a respected local authority, this role offers a great fit.
