What They're Looking For - Experience in mechanical building services design, ideally within a UK consultancy. - A good understanding of mechanical systems and building services design principles. - Experience producing calculations, technical documentation and CAD drawings. - Familiarity with UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and relevant industry standards. - Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, clients and contractors. - An organised approach to managing workloads and meeting deadlines. - A relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience in mechanical or building services engineering. - A full driving licence and access to a car for site visits and client meetings. Experience with refurbishment projects, low-carbon heating, Revit or IES VE would also be beneficial. What's on Offer - Salary of £36,000-£48,000, depending on experience. - Hybrid working. - A varied project portfolio, including schemes valued at £50m+. - The opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop your design skills. - Close working relationships with the directors and wider engineering team. - A small, supportive working environment where you'll have a genuine input into projects. If you're an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a role with varied projects, more involvement in project delivery and the chance to develop within a smaller consultancy, this could be worth exploring.
