Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services)
Location: Manchester (hybrid working available)
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience

A growing and well-regarded building services consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Manchester team. With a strong presence across the UK and international project experience, the business delivers high quality design and consultancy services across commercial, healthcare, data centre and specialist environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close knit and supportive team, offering exposure to a wide variety of technically interesting projects, along with clear progression and support towards professional accreditation.

The role
You will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects, working closely with clients, design teams and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio including office fit outs, healthcare facilities, laboratories, clean rooms and data centres.

Key responsibilities include:

- Undertaking electrical design for building services projects across multiple sectors
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders
- Producing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
- Attending client and site meetings as required
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Supporting senior staff on project management and delivery

About you

- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in electrical building services design
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ideally Revit
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Organised with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Keen to develop technically and professionally

For senior level candidates:

- Proven experience leading projects or taking ownership of design elements
- Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to project delivery strategy
- Experience mentoring junior engineers is desirable
