Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services)
Location: Manchester
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience

An established and highly regarded building services consultancy is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Manchester team. With a history spanning over 80 years, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions across both public and private sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive environment, offering exposure to a wide range of projects and clear opportunities for professional development.

The role
You will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from early concept through to completion. Working closely with senior engineers and the wider design team, you will contribute to delivering coordinated and efficient engineering solutions tailored to client needs.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing electrical building services systems across a variety of sectors
- Supporting or leading project delivery depending on experience level
- Coordinating with architects and other members of the design team
- Preparing technical drawings, specifications and reports
- Attending client and project meetings
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

For senior level candidates, additional responsibilities may include:

- Taking ownership of projects and leading design elements
- Managing client relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

About you

- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in electrical building services design
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organised with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Motivated to continue professional development and achieve Chartership
