| Role: IT Manager (E-Commerce & Systems) Location: Halesowen (Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site Weekly) Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 A well-established UK distribution business is seeking a technically strong and hands-on IT Manager to oversee its technology environment across two West Midlands sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a practical, operational IT position with a heavy emphasis on E-Commerce platforms and business-critical applications. You’ll be responsible for maintaining stable systems, improving application performance, and ensuring that both ERP and E-Commerce platforms continue to support daily operations effectively. The organisation values individuals who are honest, forthright, and capable of coordinating others without being heavy-handed. Key Responsibilities - Lead day-to-day IT operations across two sites and their remote sales operations. - Oversee support and enhancement of ERP and E-Commerce applications. - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system and application issues. - Manage user administration, access control, and application configuration. - Coordinate upgrades, integrations, and system improvement initiatives. - Work with external partners, suppliers, and vendors on fixes and enhancements. - Support reporting, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making. - Streamline processes and contribute to continuous improvement across IT systems. Essential Experience - Strong background in system/application support, ideally across ERP and E-Commerce. - Technical understanding of integrations, data flows, and platform configuration. - Experience coordinating IT activity across multiple stakeholders or sites. - Straightforward communication style with an honest, pragmatic approach. - Experience supporting technology within distribution, retail, or operational environments. Desirable - Knowledge of APIs, web technologies, or system integrations. - Experience with automation, reporting tools, or workflow improvements. - Familiarity with fast-paced commercial or product-led environments. |
