Learning Support Assistant – SEN School
Full-Time | Long-Term | January 2026 Start | Borehamwood
Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a nurturing SEN school in Borehamwood to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time, long-term role starting in January 2026.

The Role:
You’ll support teaching staff and the SENCO in delivering tailored support across Key Stage 1, with responsibilities aligned to your experience and the specific needs of the pupils.
Key Duties:
- Delivering focused interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development
- Assisting with the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Encouraging positive behaviour and active participation in lessons
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Adapting learning resources to suit individual learning styles
- Tracking pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to support
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
