About the Role:

As a Mammographer, you will deliver high quality mammography imaging services to patients, supporting their diagnosis, treatment and recovery across a variety of clinical specialties. You will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide precise, patient-centred care while upholding the highest professional standards. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Performing mammography imaging examinations to a high clinical standard
• Positioning patients accurately to obtain optimal quality images
• Monitoring patient comfort and response throughout the examination
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of examinations performed
• Ensuring correct use and calibration of mammography equipment
• Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after examinations
• Collaborating with radiologists, breast care nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Participating in quality assurance and safety procedures
• Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students
• Keeping up to date with advancements in mammography techniques and equipment

Who We Are Looking For:

• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography with mammography training, or equivalent recognised qualification
• Typically 6 months or more of experience working as a Mammographer within a clinical or hospital environment

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of breast screening and mammography principles
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency with mammography imaging systems and equipment
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
