Job Title: Manufacturing Operator Location: Perth, Scotland Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour Contract Type: Temporary (12 months, with potential extension) Manpower is currently recruiting for Manufacturing Operators to join a fast-paced production environment in Perth on a 12-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team in a structured manufacturing setting. Working Hours This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday: - Week 1 (Day Shift): 06:00 - 14:30
- Week 2 (Back Shift): 13:30 - 22:00
Due to shift times and site location, we strongly recommend that applicants have access to their own transport, as public transport may not be available during early mornings and late evenings. Key Responsibilities - Assemble components such as tubing and connectors in line with product specifications
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical drawings
- Manufacture products in accordance with detailed blueprints and customer requirements
- Accurately measure materials using basic tools (e.g. tape measure)
- Complete all documentation in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
- Carry out visual inspections on products during and after production
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
- Work collaboratively within a team to meet production targets
- Support continuous improvement activities within the production process
About You - Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic numeracy skills
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks
- Able to follow structured processes and procedures accurately
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential
Requirements - Secondary education or equivalent
- Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment
- Willingness to wear full PPE, including gloves, hair covering, face covering, and safety glasses
- No makeup or jewellery permitted in production areas
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs / ~23 kg occasionally)
- Comfortable using hand tools and performing manual handling tasks
