Materials Handler- FLT Counterbalance Location: Heysham, Morecambe Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 About the Role Manpower are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Handler to join a busy operations team in Heysham, Morecambe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or logistics experience who is looking to work in a structured and safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities - Receive, unpack, and accurately book in goods using the JD Edwards (JDE) system
- Carry out relevant JDE transactions as required
- Store bulk and pre-pack materials in the correct hazard-designated warehouses
- Pick stock for repack orders and return unused materials to the correct locations
- Conduct cycle counts in line with work instructions
- Investigate and resolve "Not on Location" (NOL) discrepancies
- Pick and prepare UK and export shipments using provided pick lists
- Report any damaged or unacceptable items
- Follow all packing and labelling instructions in line with transport regulations
- Support export shipment preparation, ensuring accuracy and completion of documentation
- Work with third-party systems (e.g. courier services, MSDS documentation)
- Safely handle fine chemicals in line with Chemical Exposure Management (CEM) regulations
- Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and raise requisitions when needed
- Operate equipment following appropriate training and report any faults
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with site security policies
Health, Safety & Compliance - Adhere to environmental, quality (EMS/QMS), and health & safety standards at all times
- Follow all procedures to minimise environmental impact and ensure product quality
- Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
About You - Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Comfortable working with computer systems (experience with JDE is advantageous)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills, particularly in stock control and discrepancies
- Committed to maintaining high safety and compliance standards
- FLT License is required for this role
