The Opportunity We're recruiting for a well?established, family owned global engineering business specialising in custom engineered industrial machinery used in critical manufacturing applications.
Based at their Kingswinford facility, this role sits within a growing mechanical build team responsible for the assembly and integration of bespoke, project driven machinery supplied to customers in regulated, high performance industries worldwide.
This is a hands on position suited to a skilled Mechanical Fitter who enjoys variety, technical challenge and seeing machines built from the ground up, with opportunities for UK and occasional European site work ( 2 to 4 times a year).
What You'll Do As part of the mechanical build team, you'll be responsible for assembling complex mechanical units and supporting full machine builds from sub assembly through to final integration. Key responsibilities include:
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of bespoke machine sub assemblies
- Working from detailed mechanical drawings and schematics
- Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems
- Integration of automation, guarding and vendor supplied equipment
- Inspection of parts and assemblies to specification and tolerance
- Supporting on site machine installations, upgrades and breakdowns (UK & overseas)
- Working collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet build schedules

What We're Looking For You'll ideally have previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder or Mechanical Assembler within a bespoke or precision engineering environment. Essential requirements:
- Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and fluid schematics
- Good understanding of tolerances and mechanical principles
- A team focused, flexible approach with high attention to detail
- Willingness to support travel, overtime and occasional weekend work
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid passport (Essential)
- Right to work in the UK
Mechanical Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds, BTEC, or similar) are desirable but not essential if practical experience is strong.
