The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a well?established, family owned global engineering business specialising in custom engineered industrial machinery used in critical manufacturing applications.

Based at their Kingswinford facility, this role sits within a growing mechanical build team responsible for the assembly and integration of bespoke, project driven machinery supplied to customers in regulated, high performance industries worldwide.

This is a hands on position suited to a skilled Mechanical Fitter who enjoys variety, technical challenge and seeing machines built from the ground up, with opportunities for UK and occasional European site work ( 2 to 4 times a year).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mechanical fitting and assembly of bespoke machine sub assemblies
  • Working from detailed mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems
  • Integration of automation, guarding and vendor supplied equipment
  • Inspection of parts and assemblies to specification and tolerance
  • Supporting on site machine installations, upgrades and breakdowns (UK & overseas)
  • Working collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet build schedules

  • Full time, permanent position
  • Day shift working
  • Overtime available
  • Opportunity for UK & international travel
  • Long term career development within a stable global business
  • Involvement in high value, low volume bespoke machinery projects

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder or Mechanical Assembler within a bespoke or precision engineering environment.
Essential requirements:

  • Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills

  • Good understanding of tolerances and mechanical principles
  • A team focused, flexible approach with high attention to detail
  • Willingness to support travel, overtime and occasional weekend work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Valid passport (Essential)
  • Right to work in the UK
