| Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer? Roles are available for both Day and Night shifts joining an engineering team in Brownhills. Working as part of the maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site. What’s in it for you - £51,736 basic / £53,222 annual earnings on Days after bonuses - £60,717 basic / £62,303 annual earnings on Nights after bonuses - Productivity and maintenance bonuses paid weekly - Overtime opportunities available - Pension scheme with employer contribution - Life assurance and income protection schemes - Christmas bonus increasing with service - Flexible holiday scheduling - Tool allowance every 6 months - Workwear, PPE and safety boots provided - Laundry service included - 4 on / 4 off shift pattern providing regular time off  As Mechanical Fitter your role will include - Responding quickly to breakdowns to maximise plant uptime - Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs of heavy duty foundry machinery - Completing TPM checks and preventative maintenance activities - Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing mechanical equipment - Supporting installation projects and factory improvements - Mentoring apprentices and supporting team development  To be a successful Mechanical Fitter you will have - Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering - Previous experience within a mechanical maintenance or fitting role with foundry or heavy industry experience - Strong mechanical repair and fault finding experience - Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - Welding, grinding and oxy-acetylene cutting skills  Shift Pattern - Full-time – 40.25 hours per week - 4 on / 4 off shift pattern across an 8 week cycle - Positions available on both Days and Nights  If you are interested in this Mechanical Fitter opportunity, please apply with your CV today.  Candidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
