Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school community in Southampton. The successful candidate will teach German, French, and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students and fostering a deep appreciation for languages and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver dynamic, engaging lessons in German, French, and Spanish, differentiated to meet the diverse needs of students.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and intercultural understanding.

Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including communicative activities, multimedia content, and authentic materials.

Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative methods, providing constructive feedback to support continued development.

Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum in collaboration with departmental colleagues.

Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs, international trips, and cultural events, to enhance students' learning experiences.
Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related discipline.

Proficiency in German, French, and Spanish, with the ability to teach all three languages to a high standard.

Previous experience teaching MFL at secondary level, with evidence of strong outcomes.

Excellent subject knowledge combined with a genuine passion for language learning.
