Minute Taker
Location: Central Plymouth, PL1
Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)
Contract Duration: Temporary position, starting in August 2025 - March 2026
DBS Check Required (cost covered by Pertemps)

About the Role:
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Minute Taker to join a dedicated team supporting critical statutory meetings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Minute child protection case conferences and complex strategy meetings
- Accurately produce minutes for statutory meetings
- Note-take a variety of other meetings as required
- Support Independent Chairs in updating child protection plans
- Record attendance and maintain accurate contact details
- Handle sensitive information securely in line with data protection policies
- Input meeting outcomes and data into internal systems
- Suggest improvements to enhance service delivery
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Strong administrative background and office procedure knowledge
- Excellent minute-taking and note-taking skills
- Ability to summarise complex discussions clearly and accurately
- High standard of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience
- Ability to stay focused during lengthy or complex meetings
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Team player with a proactive attitude

Desirable:
- Experience within statutory children's services or local authority settings
