- Travelling to sites across the UK, with overnight stays as required

Requirements

- ACS qualifications for commercial/industrial gas (e.g. COCN1 or CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1)
- Proven experience in installation, servicing, and breakdowns within the industrial or commercial gas sector
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport
- Willingness to travel nationally and work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight stays
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Desirable qualifications and experience

- Additional ACS qualifications including LPG, ComCat 1 & 3, BMP1, TPCP1/A, CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1
- Electrical qualifications and/or experience
- SPA Food Industry Safety Passport, IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space or Asbestos awareness
- Mechanical and pipework installation experience, ideally in food or process industries

Salary and benefits

- Salary between £37,000 – £50,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Company vehicle and fuel card (personal use allowed)
- Company mobile phone, PPE, uniform and specialist tools provided
- 6% employer pension contribution
- Death in service insurance (3x salary)
- Tax-free sustenance allowance of £26 per night plus £50 inconvenience payment per night away
- Annual bonus and sick pay scheme
- Monthly ‘Thank You’ day off for exceptional performance
- Overtime paid door-to-door:

- Monday to Friday: time and a half
- Saturday AM: time and a half
- Saturday PM and Sunday: double time

- Paid travel time at overtime rate
- On-call / standby payment of £250 for 9 days every 8 weeks
- Additional £75 standby for Bank Holidays, plus a day off in lieu if not called out

Working hours

- 40 hours per week, typically between 07:00 and 18:00 depending on customer needs
- Participation in on-call rota approximately one week in every eight
- Available to work up to two Saturdays per month
- Prepared to stay away from home up to eight days per month (usually no more than four nights at a time; hotels booked in advance)

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed engineer looking for long-term stability and genuine career progression within a company that values technical excellence and employee development.
