The Role You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading wood pole overhead lines operating at voltages up to 33kV. Your work will directly contribute to a reliable and safe electricity supply across the region. What You'll Need - A recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in a relevant field - Existing authorisations for HV/LV or Limited Access (ENW, SPEN, or other DNOs) - Experience working safely at height - Practical know-how with tools like MEWPs, tracked machinery, winches, and lifting gear - Pole top rescue certification - Strong safety awareness in relation to overhead line environments - Ability to work under safety documentation and within a team - Knowledge of quality and environmental standards - Full UK driving licence (HGV beneficial) - Confidence driving off-road or in tough conditions - Clear communicator with a strong customer-focused mindset - Ability to maintain accurate records and reports - Basic comfort with IT systems What's in It for You - A competitive salary - Annual bonus of up to 10% - 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays) - Employer pension contributions up to 14% - Flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle - Ongoing technical training and development on the job At Electricity North West, you're not just joining a team-you're building a career.
