Pre-Construction Manager (Engineering Programmes Cap-Ex Spend) Contract: 6-9 Months (Initial Term) Location: Hybrid - Site-Based (3 Days per Week Average) Inside IR35 - PAYE Umbrella Payment We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to support the delivery of complex, engineering-led programmes on a high-profile site. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with a strong background in pre-construction and project delivery across the full lifecycle, particularly within engineering & MEP environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage pre-construction activities across multiple engineering programmes Oversee project development from RIBA Stage 0 through to Stage 7 Collaborate with design, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure project readiness Drive programme planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination Ensure alignment with technical, commercial, and operational objectives Requirements Proven experience delivering projects across RIBA Stages 0-7, with a strong emphasis on engineering programmes Background in MEP, civils, or a related engineering discipline Strong understanding of complex infrastructure or engineering-focused environments Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills Ability to work on-site approximately 3 days per week Desirable Experience working with steam systems (highly advantageous) Security Clearance BPSS clearance is required prior to Day 1 SC clearance is not required to start, however: You must be willing to apply for SC clearance on Day 1 Clearance must be successfully obtained within 90 days Contract Details Initial contract duration: 6-9 months Competitive day rate (dependent on experience) Inside IR35 - Paid via PAYE Umbrella Hybrid working model with regular on-site presence Please contact Mark Warrington on 0161 8293964 for more details |
