Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher – Southampton

Location: Southampton
Start Date: February 2026
? Contract: Full-time | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: Paid to scale (£168 – £232)


About the Role:

Supply Desk is seeking an experienced and passionate EYFS Specialist Teacher for a full-time position at a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in Southampton. This Ofsted-rated “Good” school is part of a supportive trust and has a strong focus on outdoor learning and child-centred development.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative Early Years team, planning alongside 2 year group partners. The school is known for its excellent facilities such as playing fields, outdoor specialist EYFS areas for creative play and exercise.  This is a long-term role with the potential to extend for the right candidate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified and experienced EYFS Teacher with a strong track record

  • Experience managing and working collaboratively with two LSAs
  • Excellent knowledge of phonics (Twinkl Phonics preferred)
  • Proven ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
  • A passionate educator committed to delivering engaging and effective early years teaching

Requirements:

  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full compliance with Department for Education guidelines
  • A genuine passion for early years education and child development
