In return, you’ll benefit from flexible working, genuine career progression and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of the Bristol team.

The Role

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you’ll take the lead on the technical delivery of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

- Liaising with local authorities, highway and drainage authorities, utility companies and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high technical standard.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the Bristol team.
- Driving innovative and sustainable approaches to infrastructure design.

About You

You’ll be an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong consultancy background and a proven track record of delivering high-quality civil infrastructure projects.

You’ll hold a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, and will ideally be professionally qualified or working towards Chartered Engineer status.

You’ll also bring:

- Strong experience in highway and drainage design, from concept through to detailed design.
- A good understanding of relevant UK standards, regulations and infrastructure design principles.
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management and commercial awareness.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers and technicians.
- Experience using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage would be advantageous.

What’s on Offer?

This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career with a business that offers the chance to work on diverse and technically interesting projects while giving you the autonomy to make a real impact.

You can expect:

- Flexible and hybrid working opportunities.
- Excellent career development and progression.
- The opportunity to lead and influence major infrastructure projects.
- A collaborative, multidisciplinary working environment.
- The chance to mentor and develop future engineering talent.
- A key role in the continued growth and success of the Bristol team.
