Senior / Principal Transport Planner – Team Lead Are you ready to take the lead on high-impact transport projects across the UK? Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join a multi discipline consultants expanding Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll work on diverse and complex projects, helping to shape sustainable, effective transport solutions nationwide.  The Role As a key member of our transport planning team, you will: - Lead the development and delivery of complex transport planning projects - Manage project inputs from site acquisition through to planning application and discharge of conditions - Oversee Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans, and strategies for residential, retail, education, and mixed-use schemes - Provide expert advice to clients, ensuring their objectives are understood and delivered with precision - Support and mentor junior staff, helping to develop team capability and cohesion - Contribute to business growth through high-quality consultancy and project management What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with strong technical and commercial acumen. You should have: - Proven experience delivering transport planning projects in a consultancy setting - In-depth knowledge of NPPF, Section 278 and 106 agreements, and sustainable transport solutions - Proficiency in TRICS, PICADY, ARCADY, and a working knowledge of LINSIG - Experience with junction design (signalised, roundabouts) and transport modelling methods - A proactive, solution-focused approach and confidence in client-facing roles  Why Join Us?
