Production Operative
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucester
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours : Monday to Thursday - 12 hours rotating days/nights (3.5 days followed by 3 Nights) 39 hour average hours per week.
Pay : £13.50 Per Hour PAYE increasing after 12 weeks
Job Summary
Manpower UK is currently recruiting Production Operatives for a Temp to Perm position to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing essential process and quality checks, supporting efficient production operations, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties - Conduct quality and safety checks in line with site standards, including Critical Processes (CP), Critical Control Points (CCP), Quality Points (QP), and Critical Quality Points (CQP).
- Respond appropriately to any deviations from food safety or quality standards, following set procedures.
- Understand and work to required production specifications and quality standards.
- Operate within various production areas, including:
- Preparation
- Blending
- Cooking
- Packing
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout shifts using a clean-as-you-go approach.
- Carry out sanitation and Clean-in-Place (CIP) duties as required.
- Assist with manual tasks such as product inspection, rework, and sorting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using company tools and processes.
- Provide flexibility by working across different production roles as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by team leaders or supervisors.
Other Duties- Demonstrate a proactive approach and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Be reliable, adaptable, and focused on achieving production goals.
- Show a strong work ethic and willingness to go beyond core responsibilities when necessary.
- Operate machinery and be confident using IT-based control systems.
Health & Safety- Follow all site-specific safety procedures and regulations.
- Use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work environment.
