| MINIMUM SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL – DV / Developed Vetting  Senior Project Management Transformation Manager £850-£920 per day DV CLEARED 12 months Hyrbid working We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Management and Change leader to drive the successful delivery of large-scale, complex programmes. In this high-impact role, you’ll ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality and performance standards, while acting as a trusted subject matter expert in project management methodologies, tools and governance. Working closely with senior stakeholders and the Strategic PMO, you will provide strategic leadership across project management functions, driving consistency, professionalism and delivery excellence. You will apply robust governance and assurance frameworks to support effective decision-making, improve project predictability, manage risk and strengthen organisational resilience. This is an opportunity to shape a high-performing delivery culture focused on continuous improvement and exceptional customer outcomes.  Essential experience and qualifications: - Significant experience leading change and continuous improvement within a complex, global project delivery environment, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding customer, business and personal performance goals. - Proven experience leading large-scale project and programme delivery in the UK and overseas, with the ability to coordinate diverse skill sets across a complex organisation. - Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability, combined with a pragmatic approach and a commitment to outstanding customer service. - Strong understanding of governance, assurance, risk management and compliance frameworks. - Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with confidence operating at senior levels. - Expertise in applying recognised project management methodologies, such as PRINCE2, MSP or Agile. - Relevant professional accreditation, such as PMP, APM Chartered Project Professional or MSP Practitioner. Desirable experience: - Experience working as part of a Strategic PMO function. - Background in organisational transformation, change delivery or continuous improvement leadership.  Key objectives are: Leadership - Develop, and mentor a team of project management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Set clear expectations for performance, behaviours, and capability, managing performance issues promptly and constructively. - Build a collaborative, supportive culture that enables innovation and continuous learning. Project Delivery - Ensuring delivery of cross-functional projects and programmes are aligned with strategic objectives. - Provide senior-level direction, decision-making and issue resolution to maintain delivery momentum and manage risks. - Champion the adoption of best-practice project management methodologies across the service lines Governance, Assurance & Compliance - Work in partnership with the Strategic PMO to ensure robust governance and assurance processes are in place and consistently applied. - Ensure projects adhere to organisational controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. - Monitor project performance, identifying areas of non-compliance and taking corrective actions when required with Heads of Project Management. Continuous Improvement - Identify process, capability, and delivery gaps, driving initiatives to enhance the overall maturity of the organisations project management. - Implement continuous improvement practices based on lessons learned, audits, and feedback loops. - Promote use of standardised of tools, templates, and methodologies to raise consistency and quality. Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring visibility of performance, risks, and opportunities. - Communicate progress and issues effectively, enabling informed decision-making at executive level. - Influence stakeholders to adopt best-practice approaches and support change initiatives. Resource & Capacity Management - Assess skill gaps and ensure appropriate training, recruitment, and talent development strategies are in place. |
