- Monitoring subcontractor performance and progress against the construction programme.
- Identifying opportunities to improve project margins and maximise commercial value.
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring reporting systems are kept up to date.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders on commercial matters.
- Supporting the commercial development and contractual awareness of colleagues within the wider project team.
- Managing the commercial close-out of projects, including final accounts and the accurate allocation of costs and value.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.
- Experience independently managing your own construction projects.
- Experience working on two-stage procurement projects.
- Previous experience delivering projects within sectors such as Education and Leisure.
- Experience working on construction schemes typically valued between £10m and £30m.
- A strong understanding of construction methods, procurement and commercial management.

- Strong knowledge of contractual processes, variations and change management.
- Experience managing subcontractor procurement and accounts.
- A good understanding of project cost reporting and forecasting.
- Experience using commercial and financial systems such as COINS would be advantageous.
