Job Description
Sales & Service Advisor / Workshop Assistant

- Trailer & Parts Supplier – Edinburgh
- Full-Time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hrs/week)
- Salary: £24,405 - £27,550 + Monthly Bonus of £560 + 32 Days Holiday

Are you hands-on and customer-focused with experience in a workshop or trade counter setting?

Do you enjoy variety in your role, with a mix of sales, admin, stock handling, and light mechanical tasks?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a national trailer and towing parts supplier, seeking a Sales & Service Advisor / Workshop Assistant for their busy Edinburgh branch. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term career progression.

What is needed for this Sales & Service Advisor / Workshop Assistant role:

- Previous experience in retail, trade counter or workshop environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn
- Confidence in speaking with customers and providing product advice
- Ability to manage stock, bookings, and workshop schedules
- Well-organised with good attention to detail
- Full, valid UK driving licence required

What is on offer for a Sales & Service Advisor / Workshop Assistant:

- Competitive salary £24,405 - £27,550
- Monthly bonus of £560 based on performance

Day-to-day duties include:

- Selling and promoting trailers, parts and services in-branch and over the phone
- Processing invoices, payments, and customer queries
- Booking trailer hire and towbar fittings, and managing daily workshop diaries
- Shelving stock, updating displays, and keeping product areas organised
- Assembling and modifying trailers, and supporting with light trailer servicing
- Maintaining records for stock, customer bookings, and hire fleet servicing
- Assisting customers with advice and ensuring workshop tools are well maintained
