| Job Title: Scheme Coordinator Location: Harrow Council Hub, Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, UK, HA3 8NT (Onsite working) Employer: Pertemps Recruitment Partnership on behalf of London Borough of Harrow Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing Hours: 36 hours per week Rate: £18.22 per hour Overview of Scheme Coordinator: Pertemps Recruitment Partnership is partnering with London Borough of Harrow to recruit a committed and proactive Scheme Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and growing team within a respected local authority. Essential Requirements: - Active enhanced DBS - Experience in sheltered housing Key Responsibilities - Contribute to service development and tenant involvement to improve tenant satisfaction. - Deliver a comprehensive Enhanced Housing Management service to help tenants maintain their tenancy, access housing services, use technology appropriately, and ensure effective signposting to other services. - Carry out systematic monitoring and inspection of sheltered housing schemes to provide secure, clean and well-maintained communal areas and services. - Deal effectively with a range of complex issues with the potential for significant implications for tenants. - Report and monitor household repairs for tenants unable to do so, and coordinate deployment of handy persons where needed. - Facilitate and promote social activities within the scheme and coordinate use of communal facilities to enhance quality of life for tenants. - Minimise loss of revenue from vacant homes by arranging viewings and monitoring conditions of vacant flats. - Ensure effective resettlement of new tenants, providing information about scheme facilities, tenancy matters and local services. - Liaise with internal and external agencies to minimise rent arrears and promote financial inclusion. - Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and working practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate in the Scheme Coordinator role: - Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements of sheltered housing schemes. - Working knowledge of risk assessments and risk management. - Understanding of equalities issues. - Ability to organise and prioritise workload and act promptly in urgent situations. - Effective communication and liaison skills with colleagues, tenants, carers, council departments and external agencies. - Excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision. - Awareness of safeguarding, lone working and customer care issues.
