Manpower are currently seeking a reliable Chef to join our friendly school catering team through until the Summer Term with the potential to be extended after this time.
Location: School-based role. Postcode HU9
Hours: 8:15am - 2:15pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £13.50 per hour - Preparing, cooking, and presenting nutritious meals in line with school menus
- Ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard and served on time
- Managing kitchen operations during service, including delegating tasks where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting with ordering and storage of ingredients
- Adhering to all food safety, allergen, and hygiene regulations at all times
Requirements: - Previous experience working as a chef, ideally within a school or large-scale catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and allergen management
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
- Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate
