Science Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term

Salary: £33,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)

The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025. This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to make science engaging, accessible, and inspiring for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ideally specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

Deliver interactive, practical lessons that foster curiosity and critical scientific thinking

Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas
-
Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress effectively
-
Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of teaching resources
-
Support students in GCSE preparation, including coursework guidance and revision sessions

Promote participation in extracurricular STEM activities and science clubs
-
Engage actively with school life and the wider school community
What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (strong unqualified candidates may be considered)

Experience teaching Science at the secondary level

Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education

Creative, student-centred teaching approach

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to cultivate a supportive learning environment

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
