SEN Teacher – Full-Time | Special School in Radlett | September 2025 Start

Location: Radlett, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term/Permanent
Salary: Paid to Scale


The Opportunity:

Supply Desk is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a nurturing and well-resourced special school in Radlett. Starting in September 2025, this is a rewarding full-time position supporting students with a diverse range of needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and complex learning profiles.

The school prides itself on its inclusive, child-centred approach and commitment to ensuring every pupil reaches their full potential. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team dedicated to tailored, holistic education.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN pupils
  • Create and implement IEPs and support outcomes outlined in EHCPs
  • Foster a safe and encouraging classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the SENCO
  • Track and monitor progress, behaviour, and interventions
  • Establish positive relationships with parents/carers, providing regular updates
  • Take part in school-wide initiatives, training, and continuous professional development

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching students with SEN (special or mainstream settings welcome)
  • Sound understanding of Autism, MLD, and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Skilled in adapting teaching approaches and using diverse assessment tools
  • Patient, empathetic, and confident managing behaviour positively
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to undergo (or already holds) a valid DBS check
  • Committed to safeguarding and upholding school values
