Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

Salary: £29,344 - £44,919

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEN teacher to join our team at a leading school in Oxford. The successful candidate will support students with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and other developmental challenges. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student, setting clear and achievable learning goals

Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support for students

Regularly assess students' progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure continued development

Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on progress and working together to implement strategies for success

Promote an inclusive classroom environment, fostering acceptance, empathy, and respect for all students

Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about current best practices in SEN education

Apply appropriate behaviour management techniques to create a positive and respectful learning environment
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's preferred)

Teaching certification in Special Education (or equivalent)

Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a similar setting

Strong understanding of special educational needs, including a variety of learning disabilities and developmental disorders

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
