Salary: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Aylesbury is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping children with special educational needs (SEN) thrive in the classroom environment. You'll be working closely with students who require additional support to engage with their learning, offering both one-to-one and small group assistance.
What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with a variety of SEN, including emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties

Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning plans tailored to individual student needs

Helping students to develop emotional regulation, social skills, and strategies to manage their behaviour

Building strong, trusting relationships with students to create a safe and nurturing classroom environment

Collaborating with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support

Contributing to the review and implementation of behaviour and support plans
What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children with SEN (highly desirable)

Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and using effective de-escalation techniques

Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students' emotional and learning needs

A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Additional training such as Team Teach, trauma-informed practice, or mental health awareness is a bonus
