Role: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)

Salary: £47,000 - £56,500

Network IT are working with a highly respected organisation to recruit a Senior Business Analyst to join a growing digital delivery function.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering complex digital and service transformation initiatives, working across the full delivery lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.

You'll work at the heart of multidisciplinary product and delivery teams, helping ensure technology investments are aligned to genuine user needs and measurable business outcomes.

Role Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead business analysis activities across the entire product and service lifecycle, helping teams understand problems, define solutions, and deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will work closely with stakeholders across business, product, architecture, engineering, user-centred design, data, testing, and delivery functions, acting as the bridge between operational needs and technical delivery.

This role requires someone who can confidently navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, facilitate discussions, and use evidence, data, and research to drive decision-making. You will help teams move beyond requirements gathering to truly understand services, users, processes, dependencies, and organisational impacts.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead business analysis activities across discovery, design, delivery, and continuous improvement phases

- Facilitate workshops, interviews, research sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities to understand user and business needs

- Map end-to-end services, business processes, customer journeys, and operational workflows

- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, business rules, and functional specifications

- Support backlog management, refinement, prioritisation, and delivery readiness activities

- Work closely with Product Owners, Designers, Developers, Architects, and Testers to ensure solutions meet business objectives

- Analyse data, service performance, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement

- Contribute to option assessments, feasibility analysis, risk identification, and business impact evaluation

- Support acceptance testing, release readiness, and operational handover activities

- Present recommendations, risks, impacts, and proposals to stakeholders and governance forums

- Champion continuous improvement and contribute to business analysis standards and best practices

- Explore and utilise AI-assisted tools to improve analysis, requirements gathering, and delivery outcomes

Essential Skills & Experience

- Significant experience working as a Business Analyst within digital, technology, or service transformation environments

- Strong experience working within Agile and iterative delivery teams

- Proven ability to gather, analyse, validate, and manage complex business requirements

- Experience producing process maps, service blueprints, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business analysis artefacts

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work through ambiguity and complexity

- Experience using data, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making and service improvement

- Excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills

- Ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams

- Experience managing assumptions, dependencies, risks, impacts, and decisions throughout delivery

- Understanding of user-centred design, accessibility, and evidence-based decision making

- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities across complex programmes

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience working with digital services, APIs, integrations, data flows, or legacy system transformation

- Knowledge of service design, systems thinking, Lean, process improvement, or benefits realisation approaches

- Understanding of information governance, cyber security, data protection, and accessibility standards

- Experience using tools such as Power BI, Splunk, web analytics, operational dashboards, or visualisation platforms

- Experience using AI-assisted analysis, prototyping, or process intelligence tools

- Professional certifications such as BCS Business Analysis, AgileBA, IIBA, or similar

- Experience coaching colleagues or contributing to a Business Analysis Community of Practice
