| Senior Civil Engineer Location: Leicester Type: Permanent | Full-Time  Overview  We are recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic civil engineering team delivering a wide range of highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer ready to step into a senior role, lead projects, and mentor junior civil engineers.  The Role  You’ll play a key part in delivering civil engineering designs across highways, drainage, Section 278/38/104 projects, public realm improvements, and residential/commercial infrastructure developments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, good communication skills, and confidence working directly with clients, contractors, and local authorities.  Key Responsibilities  - Lead civil engineering projects from feasibility to detailed design - Produce designs for highways, junctions, drainage systems, and S278/S38/S104 works - Use Civils 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/Flow, and Vehicle Tracking - Mentor junior engineers and technicians - Attend client meetings and coordinate with external stakeholders - Ensure designs meet technical standards and project requirements - Experience managing tasks to deliver on time & budget - Experience with public realm / active travel / cycling infrastructure beneficial - Producing fee proposals  Required Experience  - Degree in Civil Engineering - Several years’ civil engineering experience (ideally 5–10 years) - Strong knowledge of highways & drainage design - Experience with S278/S38/S104 procedures - Confident user of Civils 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage - Excellent communication and organisational skills - Working towards or achieved Chartership  Why Join?  - Opportunity for rapid progression into Principal level - Supportive civil engineering team with a positive culture - Busy pipeline including highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes - 25 days holiday + BH + birthday + Christmas closure - Annual bonus and regular team socials - Well-structured civil engineering environment with long-term stability If you’re an Senior Civil Engineer looking to join a respected civil engineering company with strong values and long-term growth plans, apply today with your latest CV.  |
