Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Foreman required for Automotive dealer group in the Southampton area. Our Client, an Automotive international Supply Chain and Logistics Company is currently seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Controller to join and lead their team of hardworking Vehicle Technicians.  Benefits for the Senior Commercial Technician: - Competitive Salary of £40,269 - £1,000 Sign-On Bonus (£500 on recruitment, £500 after 6 months) - Tool Allowance: £35 per month (as part of PAYE) - Overtime Pay: £29.04/hour - Training Opportunities: EV training (in-house and through a college in Wolverhampton) and manufacturer training for new fleet vehicles - Discount Schemes: Access to over 200 companies offering discounts - Modern Workshop: Fully kitted-out, 4-bay workshop with wireless column lifts, rolling roads, and the latest diagnostic equipment Responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Technician: - Diagnosing Complex Faults - Offering your expertise as a Senior Technician to colleagues and supporting them within the workshop - Working on Complex Repairs - Oversee a fleet of 78 vehicles, ensuring compliance with service, maintenance, and legal standards - Supervise vehicles checking in and out, ensuring readiness for use and identifying necessary repairs - Assisting the ‘newer’ members of the team with their training - To ensure service and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards, achieving total customer satisfaction. - To liaise with all Technicians and the Manager in respect of any quality / training issues Requirements of the Senior Commercial Technician: - Be a fully qualified Senior Technician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - Experience within a Senior Vehicle Technician position in a Franchised environment - A strong working experience within Diagnostic Repair - Ability to oversee a workshop, manage a small team, and ensure fleet compliance - Willingness to work occasional late shifts when needed (with additional pay). - Methodical problem-solving skills. For your hard work for our Client you will be rewarded with a salary of £40,269, with OTE up to £43,000. The hours of this Senior Vehicle Technician / Workshop Controller role are: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 (Flexibility for occasional late shifts with additional pay).
