We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to support delivery on the nationally significant Net Zero Teesside scheme. This major infrastructure project forms a key part of the UK's decarbonisation strategy and energy transition programme. The Site Agent will take responsibility for the safe, compliant and programme-driven delivery of designated work sections, managing engineers, subcontractors, plant and materials to ensure high-quality execution in line with technical and commercial requirements. Role Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations within your designated section of works Lead Site Engineers and coordinate subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery Prepare, review and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) Oversee implementation of temporary works in accordance with approved designs and procedures Manage quality assurance processes including ITPs, inspections and testing Monitor progress against programme and implement mitigation measures where required Coordinate plant, materials and lifting operations to meet project demands Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and tolerances Maintain accurate site documentation, records and reporting Raise and manage technical queries (TQs) with design and engineering teams Promote and enforce high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance Support cost awareness and resource planning within your section Workstream Experience Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: Structures - reinforced concrete, structural steel, complex formwork systems Earthworks - bulk excavation, ground improvement, heavy plant operations Underground Services - drainage, ducting, utility installation and associated temporary works Experience within major infrastructure, energy, industrial or heavy civil engineering environments is highly desirable. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Site Agent on large-scale infrastructure or heavy civils projects Strong understanding of QA procedures, temporary works and safe systems of work Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors and plant logistics Good programme awareness and sequencing knowledge Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management Qualifications (Desirable) Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline CSCS Manager Card SMSTS Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor Lifting-related qualifications (advantageous) What's on Offer Opportunity to contribute to a flagship low-carbon infrastructure scheme Long-term project stability on a nationally significant programme Exposure to complex heavy civil engineering packages Competitive salary or day rate Career progression within major infrastructure delivery |
