Job Description

Site Engineer
Location: West Midlands
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package
Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking to work on one of the UK's largest and most prestigious civil engineering programmes?

Our client is a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced delivery team, working across major earthworks, structures, highways and infrastructure packages on a long-term programme.

The Role
As Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of complex civil engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:

- Setting out and surveying works in accordance with project requirements.
- Producing and reviewing as-built surveys and quality documentation.
- Maintaining accurate engineering records and site documentation.
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and inspection records.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme.
- Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with the day-to-day delivery of the project.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

About You
We're looking for someone with:

- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or major infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- A good understanding of QA processes, as-built records and engineering documentation.
- Experience delivering highways, rail, structures, earthworks or heavy civils projects.
- CSCS card as a minimum (SMSTS/SSSTS desirable).
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Working Pattern
This role is primarily site-based due to the nature of the project.
For candidates travelling from outside the local area, a travel allowance may be available, subject to eligibility and the client's travel and expenses policy.

What's on Offer

- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
- The opportunity to work on a flagship infrastructure programme with long-term security.
- Excellent career progression within a leading Tier 1 contractor.
- Ongoing professional development and exposure to nationally significant infrastructure projects.

If you're a Site Engineer looking for your next challenge on a major civil engineering project, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact Laura Bond Stephenson at RGB Recruitment for a confidential discussion.
