Site Manager
Plymouth
Due to continued growth, an established and highly respected multi-sector construction business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead an upcoming project in Plymouth. Operating across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education, industrial and commercial, this organisation delivers both commercial new build and refurbishment projects throughout the South West, with a strong pipeline of secured work. 

The Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivering a new £5m project. The scheme centres around significant external envelope upgrades to a unit, followed by additional enhancement works during later phases. This is a design and build contract, requiring strong technical knowledge, proactive problem-solving, and excellent coordination of the supply chain. The role will involve daily interaction with the client, as the works are being delivered on a live client site, so a professional and customer-focused approach is essential. The position will involve close collaboration with both operational teams and supply chain partners to ensure successful project delivery. 

Key Responsibilities

- Full site management of the project from inception through to completion
- Managing subcontractors and supply chain performance
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times
- Maintaining strong client relationships on a live operational site
- Delivering works on time, within budget, and to high quality standards

Requirements

- Proven experience in both refurbishment and new build projects
- Strong understanding of design & build contracts
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience working in client-facing, live environments
- Experience within roofing and cladding required
- Relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work
- Full UK driving licence
