Job Responsibilities- Set up and operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machinery to ensure efficient production runs
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks on assembled PCBs to maintain high standards
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimise downtime
- Follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings to ensure accurate component placement
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of SMT equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality benchmarks
- Document production activities and report any discrepancies or equipment faults to management
Required Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience operating SMT machinery within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and electronic components
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions accurately
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to electronics manufacturing
- Technical certifications related to electronics or manufacturing are advantageous
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Experience with calibration and routine maintenance of SMT machinery
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
