Software Engineering Manager, Scale Up, Edinburgh (£100k)

I am working with a well-funded fast growth tech company who are set to grow significantly over the next 12-18 months. This role will be leading and building out software engineering capability working with an award-winning team on a market leading product.

Technology stack is modern JavaScript (Node.js / React.js / AWS / microservices architecture) This role will focus more on software engineering management and you will have technical team leads reporting to you. You will also support the delivery of some major greenfield projects and help grow the team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with JavaScript teams working within a DevOps Culture along with projects utilising both microservices and cloud technologies

• Extensive experience building and leading high-performance software engineering teams.
• Experience working with start-up / scale up businesses with fast-paced ways of working
• Have experience managing the performance and development of high-performing engineers
• Technical background ideally across multiple languages and technology agnostic in your approach to delivering new solutions
• Knowledge of industry best practices for building scalable and highly reliable SaaS/PaaS applications
• Passionate about continuous improvement and development processes, procedures and people to support business growth
• Software Engineering Leadership- ability to lead and help grow a high performing technical software team. Lead, motivate, inspire and support the team as it grows.
• Continuous improvement- Helping to drive modern software development practices, polices and tooling to support delivery capability (DevOps / CI/CD / Agile / TDD & BDD)

**Must have a proven track record leading distributed / remote based delivery teams**
