Sous Chef - Luxury Country Estate - East Lothian

• Up to £39,000 per annum
• 4 days on 3 days off shift pattern
• 28 days paid holiday, pension and free parking
• Small, close knit private dining team
• Permanent full time position

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the private dining team at a luxury country estate in East Lothian. This is a quality led operation working with premium produce.The Sous Chef will work within a small team, covering catering across the estate’s main house, premium events and bespoke private dining. It is a varied operation with genuine autonomy and real scope to develop.

As Sous Chef you will work closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning and implementation, take responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, and play a key role in leading and developing the wider team. Stock control, ordering and health and safety compliance also fall within the remit

The ideal Sous Chef will have significant experience in a quality driven kitchen, a proven ability to manage and develop a team, and the drive and creativity to help shape the food offering. A 4 or 5 star hotel background would be advantageous, and rosette experience is desirable though not essential. This is a great opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to settle into a well established operation with excellent development opportunities and a strong team culture.
