The company offers clear opportunities for career progression, ongoing professional development, and structured support towards Chartership.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Responding to site queries and technical requests in a timely and practical manner
- Attending design team meetings and site visits, representing the company professionally
- Working to agreed project programmes and deadlines while managing your own workload effectively
- Producing high-quality engineering deliverables, including reports, calculations and design documentation
- Supporting compliance with health, safety and design standards across all stages of project delivery
- Participating in CPD sessions, technical discussions and internal knowledge sharing

Essential experience & key requirements:

- Experience in structural design of buildings using reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber
- Ability to review and integrate supplier and proprietary systems into design solutions
- Strong understanding of construction products and structural systems
- Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary design teams and contractors
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced consultancy environment
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and deadlines
- Proven ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical outputs
- Confident representing the business at meetings and site visits
- Strong awareness of health & safety responsibilities in office and site environments
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD

Required skills:

- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2–5 years’ experience in structural engineering consultancy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented with a flexible and proactive approach
- Energetic, self-motivated and committed to professional growth
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and engineering software packages

Benefits:

- Company pension
- Private healthcare
- Annual bonus scheme
- Business mileage payments
- Ongoing training and CPD support
- Structured support towards Chartership

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically interesting and varied projects within a supportive consultancy environment, while developing your career as a well-rounded Structural Engineer.
