Teaching Assistant

Supply Desk are currently working with both mainstream schools in Eastbourne to provide additional support for children in the classroom. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a genuine desire to help children reach their full potential. We offer a variety of roles, ranging from day-to-day cover to longer-term positions, supporting children across different age groups and subjects.

We welcome applications from candidates with various backgrounds, including:

• Sports coaching

• Youth work

• Volunteer work

• Support workers

• Childcare or teaching assistant experience

• Scout/Guide leaders or similar roles

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

• Support children either 1:1 or in small group settings, helping them with their learning and development

• Assist the class teacher with classroom management and general teaching duties

• Help with setting up and preparing learning materials

• Support children with additional needs in a positive and proactive manner

• Participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports or clubs when required
