Supply Desk is pleased to be partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Bushey, recognised for its warm, inclusive community and supportive staff team. We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis, starting straight away.

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning, confidence, and personal development. You will play a key role in helping children build essential skills, develop independence, and thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support

• Assist with classroom organisation and promote positive behaviour

• Adapt resources and activities to support diverse learning needs

• Support teachers during lessons and classroom activities

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

• Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting

• Patient, empathetic, proactive, and supportive approach

• Confident in behaviour management and classroom routines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Understanding of inclusive practices and safeguarding standards

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
