| Job Title: Tool Room Engineer Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off — Days Only (06:00–18:00) Salary-£36,000-£40,000 Role Overview We’re seeking a skilled Tool Room Engineer to carry out a wide range of engineering tasks within a busy workshop environment. The role requires precision, initiative, and a proactive approach to maintaining tooling and production equipment to a high standard. Key Responsibilities - Interpret engineering drawings to perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on extrusion tooling. - Operate workshop machinery including CNC wire eroders, milling machines, laser welders, vertical mills, centre lathes, and surface grinders. - Support the team with tooling-related issues as required. - Complete all tasks accurately, efficiently, and within set timeframes. - Maintain exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality results. - Work effectively with minimal supervision and contribute positively within a team environment. - Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all workshop areas. - Communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions. - Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing better working practices, systems, and processes. - Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. - Undertake other reasonable duties as required. Skills & Qualifications - Level 3 qualification in Engineering (or equivalent). - Strong engineering aptitude. - Experience with CNC wire erosion and laser welding (preferable). - Good numeracy and literacy skills. - Competent in basic PC use.
