Transport Administrator Location: Grangemouth Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour Monday to Friday - 11:30-17:30 (30 hours per week) Manpower Scotland is currently recruiting for a temporary Transport Administrator on behalf of one of our valued clients based in Grangemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to support a busy transport operation.
The Role:
As a Transport Administrator, you will assist the Operations Transport Manager with a range of administrative tasks to help ensure the efficient running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting drivers with the HR and Payroll system, including submitting timesheets and expenses
- Checking and authorising driver timesheets
- Assisting with pay-related queries and escalating to the payroll team where required
- Managing stock control and ordering, including Personal Protective Equipment
- Administering tachograph data, including driver hours and activities
- Supporting Health, Environment and Quality administration, including booking drug and alcohol testing
- Carrying out general administrative duties such as minute taking, updating notice boards, filing and responding to internal queries
What We're Looking For
- Previous administrative experience is essential
- Previous experience within a transport environment is essential
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours rules and tachograph regulations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Educated to Higher level (or equivalent), including Maths and English
