Tree Planting & Maintenance Operative - Ongoing Temp Role
Bristol | Full Time | £16.97 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Tree Planting & Maintenance Operative to support tree planting and maintenance projects across parks, open spaces and public areas. 

This is a hands-on outdoor role working as part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and improving green spaces throughout the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planting, watering and maintaining trees

• Carrying out horticultural duties including weeding, pruning and grounds maintenance

• Safely operating a range of tools, machinery and equipment

• Supporting sustainability initiatives through recycling and responsible resource management

• Maintaining equipment, vehicles and work areas to a high standard

• Providing excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public

Requirements:

• Experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance, tree planting or environmental conservation

• Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices

• Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and tools

• Understanding of tree planting techniques and species identification

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture, Environmental Conservation or equivalent

• Experience with grass cutting, sports grounds, weed control or habitat management

• Experience supporting volunteers or community groups

Pay Rate: £16.97 per hour
