Our client, a reputable company in Abingdon, is hiring a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. Due to the location you must drive and have transport.
What you'll be doing:
* Picking components for the Assembly team to build products
* Packing goods for dispatch, including labelling
* Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, ensuring parts are stored correctly
* Assisting with perpetual inventory counts
* Supporting warehouse tasks such as unloading deliveries, validating supplier shipments, and loading lorries using a forklift
* Providing occasional support to the paint spraying team during holidays or sickness
* Performing any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or Managing Director, in line with business needs
* Following all company policies and maintaining awareness of Fire and Health & Safety regulations
What you'll bring:
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Basic physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks
* Flexibility to support different areas of the operation as needed
Additional information:
* No formal qualifications required, but a good understanding of health and safety is beneficial
* Valid forklift licence is advantageous
* Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential
Salary offered is c£31k, monthly bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, all PPE supplied. Hours are 8am - 5pm with an earlier Friday finish.
